Welcome to The West of London Breast Screening Service
The West of London Breast Screening Service is part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme. We provide services to women registered with GPs in Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.
Breast screening is a way of detecting breast cancer early, when it is too small for you or your doctor to see or feel. It involves a female radiographer taking x-rays, called a mammograms, of the breasts. Early detection of breast cancer often means simpler and more successful treatment. It is estimated that breast screening saves the lives of 1,400 women in England every year.
